PRSound Science
The Port Royal Sound is a healthy watershed under pressure. Population growth and accompanying land use change in the region, compounded by the effects of a changing climate, are resulting in changing conditions in the Sound.
The PRSound Science Initiative is a monitoring and research effort, led by the Port Royal Sound Foundation, to track conditions in the Sound to identify and address changes before they become problems.
PRSound Science//Indicators
Monitoring indicators of health & change in the Port Royal Sound.
PRSF organizes our monitoring and research around five broad categories of indicators that are critical to the health of the Port Royal Sound and the surrounding watershed. Monitoring and studying these indicators helps us detect when change is occurring, and allows us to identify issues before they become problems.
